CSE Citation Centre's origins can be traced back to IDS Aircraft Limited, a charter operator who purchased the first UK registered Cessna Citation in 1974. By 1979 with a fleet of five Cessna Citations IDS formed an in house engineering facility at Bournemouth Airport in the South of England to support it’s growing fleet of Cessna Citation Business jets that were operating around Europe.
Third party Cessna Citation operators soon became aware of the engineering skills IDS had built up maintaining it’s own fleet, leading to expansion of the maintenance facility, taking in third party aircraft maintenance.
The skills and growth of IDS were recognised by Cessna in 1988 where IDS was appointed an Authorised Cessna Citation Service Centre for the 500 series Cessna Citations.
By 1999 continued growth and success lead to an acquisition by Oxford Aviation Services (OAS) when IDS was re-branded CSE Citation Centre.
An acquisition by BBA Aviation PLC provided a solid financial base for continued growth and the product line was expanded to incorporate all Cessna Citation range of models. Finally the purchase of a purpose built 30,000 sq ft hangar with 6,000 sq ft of office accommodation provided CSE Citation Centre with one of the most modern facilities in the UK.
The Future Of CSE Citation Centre
Our strategic plan is to continuing with our dedication to Cessna Citation products and services. We can now offer a more complete service with our new shift system to provide a 7 day a week operation to meet the demands of our increasing customer base and profile of operation.
